Re: Walmart: Lego 10697-1: XXXL Box (1500 pcs) for $40

Would have cost the guy $44.80 each box after taxes so only $404 profit. Only problem is who is going to spend $650 or $1300 on random pieces? Personally, if i was going to spend that I'd be buying something a little bit better than random colored pieces. I guess there are people out there that'll b...

Re: Walmart: Lego 10697-1: XXXL Box (1500 pcs) for $40

Went down to two different wallys at noon to find I was too late, all cleaned out. Already seeing postings on reselling sites around me asking $75, person claims they "got a great deal on these and looking to sell a few extras to help cover the cost of christmas! First come first serve". S...

Check out these - http://www.lifelites.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Haven't personally used them but am real close to grabbing some for my modulars. They have a bunch of photos on the site with the different ways which they can be used.

Re: Toys R Us Pricing Mistake PM Potential??

Went down to my Walmart this morning and had no problem with them price matching it for the advertised price of $11.97. Great set if your looking for parts.

Re: Toys R Us Pricing Mistake PM Potential??

It's definitely a Canadian sale, found the flyer on their Facebook page ( http://www.facebook.com/ToysRUsCanada/app_193929077348715" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ), and it's listed for $11.97. If you don't get the flyer then I suggest going to TRU on Friday when the sale s...

Re: LEGO City Sale at Amazon UK (Ships Worldwide)

I too ordered a set from Amazon.uk and got dinged. Ordered the Forest police station and paid after shipping and dollar conversion $58.09. All good until UPS showed up and wanted another $17.47 which brought the total to $75.56. Still better than the $99.99 MSRP but not as good of a deal than I thou...

Re: Cross Border Lego Shopping

I made a day trip a few months ago and brought back $400 worth of sets. Told the border agent straight up what I had and he was surprised at how much more expensive Lego is compared to when he was a kid. Let me go straight through with no duty or taxes. I find that the Truck crossing seems to be mor...

Re: Purchasing Lego bricks @ Legoland California

Wow, that price is insane. If you buy 75 2x4 bricks, that's 1/4 of lb (yes I actually weighed it out), that comes out to roughly $10.76after the taxes or $.14 per brick. Yes it is still cheaper than buying from PAB from the S@H, but still expensive for bulk buying. It's too bad, was hoping to really...

Purchasing Lego bricks @ Legoland California

Hey all, going to be at legoland California around Xmas time and as this will be the first visit I was wondering on how exactly they sell their bulk Lego. I've read that there is one store within Legoland land that sells bricks by the lb. Is this true and how much is it? Also wondering if anyone has...

Re: [Canada] ToysRUs 20% off LEGO City, Creator, Basics

So I just called and got the same run around from the CSR saying it was a website pricing error and there was nothing they could do, asked so speak with a manager and was quickly forwarded onto one. He was giving me the same line, website pricing error and there was nothing they could do. After 15 m...
