Ordered it today, still waiting to hear about the shipping status. My son loves "TR-8R" and who am I to say otherwise. This set seems to be rife with moc expansion possibilities.

Sounds like Legends of Chi n a - i.e. using imagery from Chinese mythology. Ninjago isn't historically accurate anymore than Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles or Power rangers are, but clearly that's the major influence on this series. Definitely a departure from the visual style of the rest of next year...

San Leandro, CA and Hayward, CA stores have the Marvel Super Heroes figures for $7.

I picked up what looked like San Leandro's last (damaged box) Tie Fighter set, but the rest of the sets were regular priced as of this morning.
