Luciant - Nice! Was that a craigslist find? I never see any good Lego deals on CL here.

Ya, I found this as well as the Chess set on Craigslist. Great place to nab deals... just hard to find em so gotta look a lot. I also look in cities within roughly 30min of me. If I can nab a good lot deal, it would be worth the drive. I almost had a MF for $100 but I'm guessing the person got a TON of calls about it, and decided "she was gonna hold on to it" for a while instead. Boo.

Btw, if anyone is interested in any of those sets or mulitples, please let me know as I'm trading/selling most of that lot since I already had most of them unopened in boxes that I haven't got to open yet...Most of these sets are 99% complete, but missing one or two common (easily replaceable) pieces.
I have mixed feelings about new releases: I can't wait to see and get the new sets... but I can't figure out where I'm gonna put them or store them.

I stopped by a Target I haven't been to before. Thought I'd check the Lego aisle while there, and hiding behind a boat set were two City Houses. I thought they were long gone. An associate checked on the hand scanner and said they were coming up $20, but she decided to give them to me for $10 each!

How do you people get these deals? At the Targets near me, they straight up ignore you and run away. So jealous...

I've never been so happy to have to have a tire replaced! Took the car to the shop for a new tire and an oil change and then walked over to the mall to do a little "window shopping" at the Lego store. I did a double-take when I saw a sale tag of $32.98 on a #7754 Home One Mon Calimari Star Cruiser! Snapped it up right quick, best Lego find of the year so far!

Nabbed a factory sealed Star Wars Republic Cruiser for $63. Box has some dings, but otherwise sealed. Considering the prices from some third party sellers was this a good deal?

bought a power miners lot on ebay today that consisted of the mining station, boulder blaster, crystal king, rock wrecker, mine mech x2, granite grinder, stone chopper and an extra of the bigger rock monsters for $157 shipped. pretty excited since the mining station usually costs that alone. Its the only one I needed so I'll probably sell off the rest.

Nice Score Prozac =) I was the same way with mine... only one or two sets I really wanted, and the rest are gonna be resold for roughly about the same price I bought em... free Lego sets rock! =)

Picked up the following on CL today, all complete with boxes and instructions, for $25 total:

6741 Mini Jet
8401 City Minifigs
3179 Repair Truck
7236 Police Car
3178 Seaplane

Not really a mind-blowing deal, but definitely couldn't pass them up at the prices posted.

Gonna have to check out the Target by me. There has been 3 or 4 sitting at Clearance for $50. Time to check out if they've lowered them and if they still have any .

Today was a good day...
Driving through Perry, FL - I stopped at the local Walmart and cruised the regular Lego aisle, where all the $5 Creator/Racers sets were marked down to $1 !

At Target, I found a couple of the Galactic Enforcer (5974) sets marked down to $25! - They didn't even have any of these sets last week.

Use this Target inventory checker (with your ZIP) to see if you can find one:

I've been pretty good at not buying just any random sets just because they're on sale this year (last year I was pretty brutal with that) but today I found at Walmart 8061 Gateway of the Squid on clearance for $20. Regular retail in Canada this set is $55 while the the US MSRP is still $40. I don't even collect the Atlantis themed sets but my impulse of seeing it for just $20 took over.

Thats actually a cool set. I originally picked it up at K-Mart for $15 on clearance and just had a chance to build it last weekend. Liked the build and thought it was cool looking. Just wish I had the same feeling with Lego 3366 Satellite Launch Pad. Put it together and did not like it. Definitely looked better on the box.
