2012 Trains?

Is there any word on new trains for this year, besides the Ghost Train in the monster fighters theme? I love trains but have no interest in this at all. The Emerald Night is gone. Will we get something this year that will compare to the EN or the Maersk? If so, what time of year would we hear about it?

Haven't heard any rumors myself, and I've been looking pretty hard.

Personally I expect the Maersk to be gone before the year is over. As to whether LEGO releases something to fill the niche that EN and Maersk filled, who knows? But it would be nice if we had something new to look forward to around Christmas.

I haven't ruled out Ghost Train as being a good set. From the blurry pictures I've seen it looks like it has a lot of good pieces. It may be possible to remove the "monster fighter" themed bricks and have a good little steam engine (better than Hogwart's Express I'm hoping).

I am a huge lego Train fan (Although i still havent got my hands on a reasonably priced EN). I got a look at the new pictures of the ghost train, and based on the preliminary shots i dont think its intended for actual track riding. Its too bad because based on the rumors for all the releases in the summer there doesnt seem to be any news for a train.

Keep your ears open, and your fingers crossed and hope their is something in the works.
