I didn't try to contact - it was 6 months after I bought it that I discovered it. But I think Amazon would have taken care of it, I just used the parts for something else.

I bought a Warehouse Deal Battle of Endor that said "box damage" but "like new". The box was opened and re-taped and was missing the minifigure bags (all bag 1s). If you buy a WD set make sure you open it right away.

Did you have any problems with Amazon over the set? I've been assuming if there's a problem with a re-sealed set, Amazon's customer service will take care of it, but I'm curious to know how they handled your case. Thanks.

I think they are just selling through the remaining stock. The question is, how big is that stock? It might be a few hundred, might be a few thousand. If you want the set, I wouldn't recommend waiting too long. If you're hoping to find this at a discounted price, don't count on it. The are selling just fine at MSRP, and LEGO and their retailers seem content to let this set sell through at its own pace.

Just an FYI, I'd been watching this and one showed up the other day at $60 (+6.99 shipping).
It was one of the private sellers, and I haven't received it yet, but something to keep an eye out for.

I put the set back in my wishlist so I can keep an eye if anymore pop up at a low price.

That's a lot of pieces for $66 (1600+ right?)
