On clearance or just any Minifig series 5?

No mini-figures what so ever, on sale or otherwise, from any series

Would you be willing to buy some (gladiators or dwarves) and then sell them? I would give you 3 dollars each shipped to 14803

Does anyone know of any minifigures in store close to Alfred NY?

I'd go there now, but it's my wife's birthday and that might not go over well. If I do end up getting any I'll get in touch. I actually wish they only had 1 box, instead of 2-3. I feel like I should buy what's left, feel them and return what I don't want, but I don't want to have that conversation with the customer service folks. ;-)

Found one lone Plo Koon yesterday that had been reshelved but rang up at 50% off. So, I got it to put away for my youngest's birthday. That's the best I've found, our Walmart is pretty picked over and has been for awhile.

I picked up two 6051 Play with Letters for a buck each. I have no idea what i would do with it, but I can't pass up any LEGO for a dollar.

@ezra,
U reminded me of someone i know. He saw the Racer set (world destruction?) 37 (reg 90). He said he didn't need it but had to pick it up b/c it's an obligation with a price drop like that :)
And I totally agree.

I have the same problem.

I picked up a Frog Rush because it was $5. Now with my army of frogs and my newly acquired Scorpion Pyramid, I can finally recreate my Exodus show piece.

My threshold is: I'll get something if it's around $0.04 a brick. I can't decide if that's too high or too low of a "have to buy even if I didn't want it/need it before" threshold

I have the same issue on picking up items that are way below msrp, I can't leave them behind. Like the POP Ostrich Race for $5. I got one last year for $3 at Kmart, but when I saw them at TJMaxx for $5 the other day, I felt obligated to buy it! It's an illness really.

The Ostriches alone are worth the $5.

I agree a very bad illness. 50% off causes bad itches to buy. 70% is unbearable and an instant buy even if I have the set.

I was at a Walmart yesterday with 5-6 open series 5 minifigure boxes. All the normal price of $2.99.

Walmart's in Massachusetts never have clearance.

What Walmart's in MA have you checked? Just curious. I agree, I have almost never found the items that are posted here at Walmart on clearance in MA. Although I am not a frequent Walmart shopper, so I don't check all the time. I usually go to the Walpole or Framingham ones. And not to get OT, but I never see the polybags there...have you ever seen polys at Walmart in MA? I guess at Christmas they had the wreath and snowman.

I have been watching a Republic Frigate 7964 for about 2 weeks now. They clearanced it "red tag" at $119.97. They would not budge on the price. I was told to come back Monday to see if toy dept manager can lower it (still full price). I came back Monday and could not find it. I gave up on it until I thought I maybe I'll stop by again to see if other legos are on sale.
I didn't expect to see it but a guy pointed out the SW set still on sale. $80. I thought twice and said I better get it now. I was hoping for $60 but at this price I might as well. Total was $86.60 after taxes.

I think they have regional stores that are sent clearance material by other stores. I've found the Tewksbury, MA and Westborough, MA stores are good for clearance deals.

OC
This is the one in La Habra. It seems to be a return to the store since I do not see any Frigate aisle space for it nor do I remember them having space for it before.

Check your PM.

I found a pretty good deal the other day. Lego set 8487 - Flo's V8 Cafe for only $15. Picked it up for my son.
