More Walmart rollbacks Flying Dutchman Ewok Attack!

Post by Brickmythic » Wed Mar 07, 2012 5:40 pm

Walmart has lowered the price of some quality Lego sets.

3817 Spongebob Squarepants Flying Dutchman now $19.97

7956 Star Wars Ewok Attack now $19.97

In addition to the Ninjago Jays Storm Fighter these are really great sets to have.

B&M Walmart stores are almost cleared out of most Ninjago stock nationwide but you can find Jays Storm Fighter online at Walmart.com.

B&M Walmarts still have a handful of Samurai X and Lasha Spinner boosters in stock. They are out of print and getting VHTF, with both only appearing in one set each this summer, expect a huge demand for them during holiday 2012/2013 season.

For $20, you cant find a better deal for the Flying Dutchman. An amazing little set the whole family can enjoy!

Ewok Attack is a great army builder for $20 including both a regular stormie and a scout on speeder with 2 rare ewoks! Also the brown and green tree elements will be in high demand once LOTR sets hit shelves.

Flying dutchman went out of stock at Walmart.com within about an hour of the sale.

$20 is a great deal and I highly recommend these sets!

The Samurai X and Lasha Spinner boosters are new. How do you know that they are now out of print? Lego has been insane recently about discontinuing sets in very short time periods, but this would be a new low!

Both spinner sets are no longer listed on S@H. That means no more will be produced.

Maybe no more will be produced?

That doesn't mean Lego didn't produce 200,000 or 2,000,000 or 2,000,000,000 or more - who knows?

I think the question is, how hard is the molds for the spinner to make. Being that there are many colors they use for these, they probably are pproducing short runs, hence the out of production. While they still produce the figures, the spinner card backs are going to be short runs in my opinion. Like I said before, if they take over the Spinner universe, look out! They have multiple ways to use these Ninjago's going forward.

I know why there was the Lasha and Samurai X removal from S@H- they both don't appear in any sets until the summer wave. Why release them now?

Kendo Zane spinner hit "sold out" in 1 month (which is quite short). Those spinners lasted longer (2 months approx). Amazingly the booster packs are still around...

The kids don't want the booster packs, they want a spinner with it. I run a Lego club at our elementary school for kindergarten thru 2nd graders. I bought about two dozen spinner/fig combos and an additional 10 "guys". They didn't have any use for a "guy" without a spinner. There was no swapping figures out on a shared spinner -- each "guy" had to have his own spinner. It explains why the booster packs sit on the shelves and the spinner packs fly out the door. It was an interesting lesson for me :)
