[USA] K-Mart 50% Off Clearance

My nearest Kmart is over two hours away. They closed almost all stores in Texas some years ago. If I knew I'd find some of my wants, I'd take the drive tomorrow.

To reiterate what was mentioned above, I attempted an online purchased to no avail. I also attempted an over the phone purchase to even more dismay.
They are definitely not honoring the online sale prices!

The sets that are on clearance will vary by store. My store has sets like the mothership, fountain of youth, alien earth defense and bounty hunter pursuit (as some mentioned above) but they all scanned at full price.

Went to my local Kmart yesterday. They had a full selection of LEGO, but none of it was marked down. I didn't think to ask someone to scan it to see what price would come up on the computer. I could go back later this week, but does anyone think it's worth it? Would they just not have updated the shelf tags?

my store had almost nothing on clearance....only things marked had a yellow "reduced" sticker on them with a price....almost no lego

I may have to take a trip to k-mart tomorrow, over an hour drive to the closest, but I cant pass up a deal!

I use the Kmart website to check local inventory. it isn't 100% accurate, but in my experience, its been around 85% accurate. If a store shows having one or two of something you like, call ahead and have them physically confirm them for you; then they can hold it for you as you travel there. I saved lots of gas doing this.

I've been to four Kmarts and nothing that was marked full price, scanned on clearance. This is opposite of what happened last time. It seems like they did a better job of pricing this time around. Also, check everywhere because the clearance toys are not just on the typical few shelves, they are sometimes scattered all over the toy department, front of the store, etc....

I checked my local K-mart and they had some of the sets mentioned in this thread but all scanned at full price. There was also no Lego in the toy clearance aisle.

Same deal here my store in Oregon, Oh had all the sets and nothing on clearance.

Just picked up the large Hogwarts for $51 and Earth Defense HQ for around $33.50

All others that were mentioned here were full price including

Seems odd they would have so many but no markdowns except on the two big sets I bought and some random Bionicle type figures.

Local K-Mart in SoCal didn't have any clearanced items either. Is this mainly a midwest and east coast thing?

I'm in socal (burbank) and scored a Hogwarts (last one) for $48.50... the box was really banged up but all the pieces seem to be there. They also had Freeing Dobby for $4.00 (one left). Nothing else though. Everything else rang up full price.

Where in Oregon? I was gonna check out the albany and corvallis stores today but its sounding more and more like a waste of gas (especially when gas is $4/gallon), I'm in Eugene so about an hour drive maybe more.

Not so sure about that comment regarding S-mart close outs being storewide. This lady said that wasn't always the case. She thought it could have been an error. I will be checking a few more to be sure.


There was a clearance aisle with additional 50% tags but no LEGO aside from a beat up Hero Factory.
