LEGO City Glider 4442 Set
Update: Members are reporting in our forums that international flights like Ethiopia to Netherlands received an offer to purchase this airline set as well. Therefore, this is not UK exclusive. However, if you want to buy the set without any air travels, the only store that is selling them at the moment is Virgin Atlantic (which ships to UK only). Apologies for any confusion caused.
For folks living in the United Kingdom, you can now order this year's airline exclusive LEGO City 4442 Glider set. Its available right now at Virgin Atlantic for a reasonable price of £15 + shipping. Unfortunately, they will not ship outside of Britain. (via Brickset)
LEGO Glider 4442 Description
Unhitch the trailer, offload the glider and attach the wings, then climb in and get ready to fly into the sky!
Includes 2 minifigures, car, trailer and glider

Re: LEGO City Glider 4442 - Exclusive to UK
The news title is inaccurate and misleading in implying its a UK exclusive. Various global airlines will be offering this on international flights. Among U.S. carriers, Delta commonly carries LEGO.
Re: LEGO City Glider 4442 - Exclusive to UK
It most likely has to be from an Airport / Airline that offers International Flights to / from the UK I would assume. Have looked in many-an-Airport here in the US hoping to find LEGO but alas, none even in the International areas.
I have mixed feelings about new releases: I can't wait to see and get the new sets... but I can't figure out where I'm gonna put them or store them.

Re: LEGO City Glider 4442 - Exclusive to UK
I have seen clone brick brands at airport souvenir shops. The sets are usually specific airlines and such. To be honest, they actually look pretty cool. But the price is just so high. At YVR (Vancouver International Airport) there is a toy store after security that sells LEGO. Usually small impulse sets and Hero Factory. A huge mark-up on those items though.

They aren't sold in the airports, they are sold on international flights. And they aren't exclusive to the UK, my sister has been offered them on a flight to Ethiopia that went through the Netherlands, no UK involved (too bad she didn't have the correct currency).

If you ask me, it's a terribly ugly set & I won't be attempting to buy it. Last years one was great however, I bought a few of them.

Anyone willing to buy one / trade it? Or one of the previous years ones? PM me if you are.

Ha, that photo is gold! That guy looks like he's been unwillingly trapped inside a predator drone. The lady's torso printing is nice.
Do they sell these things in airports? I'm taking a little trip in about a week, and you know how boring waiting in the terminal is.
