This week from May 11 to May 17, 2012 Toys R Us Canada will have the following themes on sale:
20% off all City sets
20% off all Creator sets
I don't believe they're any exceptions.

Hmm... too bad there's no interesting Creator sets available (GE or FB or TB...). Oh well...

The summer wave of sets don't seem to be out yet so I don't think I'll be getting anything, wallet is safe :) .

Yeah, last time they had a sale like this one the cargo train misteriously went sold out the day before...
I'll keep an eye on the train anyway, you never know ;)

Oh Yeah, there is also something about a free Ninjago poly with the purchase of $35 of Ninjago.... if you are interested I can probably rack my brain more about what it was called... something about a sword I seem to remember.

30086 Hidden Sword. I picked up a few when my local store had them for sale, but they sold out quick!

Is Toys R Us Canada no longer carrying Creator exclusives? Been a while since I've seen any instock.

Celebrate Mother’s Day!
Join us in-store on Saturday May 12 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. to build a LEGO Picture Frame for Mom! Max. 100/store.
PLUS, kids 5 and under can build a LEGO DUPLO Heart. Max. 50/store.
While they last. For a list of participating Express locations click here.
Looks like there is a good selection of parts in this build and some purple pieces. I wonder if the back is constructed with a large plate?
By the way, there is also 20% off all LEGO electronics.

I believe they do now and then - however, as soon as they are in stock they are usually out of stock. I believe these sets are in incredible demand at all times - LEGO seems to get more and more popular...

Yes, it could be a good selection of parts.
It is very nice of TLG consistantly managing a mini LEGO build for this special event. It provides one of the way for the kids to present something to their mom on mother's day. This saves lots of brain energy from coming up with a gift.
The "Rose on pot" from last year's mother's day event is still displaying in my son's lego cabinet. It is looking very good, indeed.

I liked the rose, it was a fun build with a lot of the larger pieces.

For those in the east and attended this event this morning could you please post some pictures of the frame for us in the west? :D I want to decide weather or not it is worth lining up for the frame.

It is worth. I have found the

Thanks! It looks like I will be going then. The two white 8x16 plates can only be obtained in 7879 as of right now.
EDIT: The plates could be in light bluish gray.

This time around, there weren't as many people in line like the bunny rabbit build. By the time I finished building, the line simmered down to only about 3-5 people. The 2 8x16 plates were indeed in white, and it was the first time I've seen the LEGO Friends specialty colours in person, and I've got to admit it looks pretty darn good.
