[US/CA] LEGOShop Free Hulk Minifigure w/$50 Purchase

Post by Toys N Bricks » Tue May 15, 2012 2:20 pm

LEGO Shop at Home North America will be offering a free LEGO Hulk Minifigure when you make a $50 purchase. The minifigure is not available in any other set and is exclusive to this promotion only. Valid May 16-30 only, while supplies last. I believe it is also stackable with the free poster offer when you purchase any LEGO Lord of the Rings sets.

So glad the LotR Legos went up today as well so I didn't have to buy something extra I really didn't need.

Just a little disapointed they didn't offer free shipping as well like May the 4th. At least they do let you get the free LotR poster too, so thats nice at least.

Also a little disapointed they didn't print the purple pants on the side of the legs too. I'm afraid he's going to look like he's wearing some kind of Hulk thong

Would be nice to have free shipping as well - the shipping charges erase pretty much any benefit that the Hulk figure is bringing.

Why is my LEGO B&M store so far away?!?

I think I'm going to hold out as long as possible. Lego sometimes throws me for a loop and throws in free shipping towards the end of promotions.

 Its a thong with a loin cloth front. He's got a purple crotch piece and I've never seen an apron with a strap between your legs. I am honestly surprised they didn't print the purple all around the legs. The Minifigure series Mummy had printing on the side of his legs for the bandages, which is why the Monster Fighters Mummy is little disapointing in that regard since he doesn't.

Usually TnB will let us know about the free shipping in advance. What do you think the odds are of getting free shipping again after just having it a couple weeks ago for May the 4th? Is it worth missing out on the fig? As with any LEGO purchase I'm weighing the pros and cons of cracking open the wallet. ;-)

I'd only be tempted with free shipping. Even then I should pass since I'm avoiding the DC line due to money/space.

Agreed, but even with free shipping, we are actually paying for the hulk mini figue since most sets will eventually go on sale. Getting sets from lego store only good if there were a sale with free shipping and with free stuff promo.

I checked the ebay prices, how can it possibly sell for that much? Who is buying them at that price that can't make a purchase of nearly that amount through Lego.com? Aside from maybe international buyers.

Really ?!? Why would anyone pay that much for it?

http://www.ebay.ca/itm/LEGO-HULK-Minifi ... 555wt_1140" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

That almost covers the cost of the entire $50 purchase once it's all done and settled. Essentially free LEGO for up to that price... wow!

So I went to Lego store in Paramus, NJ to get the Chess set and the Hulk freebie. My daughter and I put together a PAB cup and said to "heck with it" and got the MMV.. grand total with some VIP pts and tax was 171$.

Wholly expecting to get only one Hulk minifig, they gave me THREE because my purchase totalled more than 150$. SWEEEET.

Getting more than one Hulk per $50 is a big no-no for Lego employees. Consider yourself extremely lucky! Our store in Orlando is so busy it almost seemed like they only handed out the hulk figures when someone mentioned the promotion. I tried to get more than one figure when I spent over $100 and the employee jokingly told me that he might have to report me if I kept asking! I think our store had them all on lockdown...

Ha, our store was quite liberal in handing them out. Bought Town Hall with a 10% discount today, so total was $180 ($189 with tax) and I got 4. Then in a separate transaction (not deliberate, just forgot about the series 7 minifigs) we spent just over $50 and got another Hulk. But we know the manager well and we are good, frequent customers of that store! I think it depends on the store and the employee...

Yer all making me jealous with all these tales of being close to the Lego stores! Well maybe I'll get lucky on my Legoland trip next month! In 2010 I was lucky enough to get a white Fett there when I didn't even know it was a promo!Same trip I got the LU rocket and minifig when I bought the game which was apparently a big deal as most places you could only get one or the other until they started selling the rockets.

I am wondering, what would happen if one to change there mind on one or all of the sets they ordered to get the minifig and sent those sets back while keeping the hulk?
