Twist-and-Whirl Amusement Park Ride

Post by dvsntt » Wed Jun 06, 2012 7:09 am

I wanted to make a mini-fig scale ride that resembled the Tilt-A-Whirl ride that I used to enjoy as a child. It was one of my favorite rides until I was large enough to ride Roller-Coasters.

My design borrows a bit of the design, but as you can see it is not a Tilt-A-Whirl ride, thus I have named it the Twist-and-Whirl, as a bit of homage to the ride that inspired it.

It is also on Lego Cuusoo if you feel inclined to support it: http://lego.cuusoo.com/ideas/view/18203" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; (I appreciate if you do)

Now on with the pics and vids
These are some videos of the ride in action:

I would like to motorize it, but the battery box is so large I would have to put it up in the roof which might ruin some of the aesthetics of the design. But please provide any feedback or criticism you have of the model. I would like tom improve it where it can be. Thanks.
