I wonder how many hundreds of dollars each these will sell for.
Re: LEGO Bizarro & Phoenix Minifigures SDCC 2012
wah! I want these! I just cannot bring myself to pay 100.00 for a minifigure.
Re: LEGO Bizarro & Phoenix Minifigures SDCC 2012
Agree on not wanting to spend $100 on these.
I now have more sympathy for the SW figure collectors.

Shazam and Venom (Black Costume Spiderman)

Re: LEGO Bizarro & Phoenix Minifigures SDCC 2012
I'm actually disappointed that Venom and Bizarro look so good. Since I have no chance of getting to ComicCon and I can't justify the insane markups once they hit the internet, I can only hope that these minis eventually make it into sets available to the regular Lego buyer. Last year's Green Lantern has taught me not to pin too much hope on that.

Oh man..... I hate that they were being exclusive to the comic show.
Ding it. No way I can afford to get them from feebay. Too many minifigures were missed from my collection from both last year and this year comic con.
X100. These "exclusive" idea was so annoying.
I heard that there will be another wave of DC Super hero for Superman. Hopefully, there will be a set for Green Lantern.Sinfanti wrote: Last year's Green Lantern has taught me not to pin too much hope on that.

They all look great, but as a major Spidey fan, that's the one I want the most.

I'm right there with you, Black Costume Spidey looks awesome. Being an X-Men fan, I really like the Phoenix minifig too, although she looks just like the Black Widow minifig due to the same hairpiece.vynsane wrote:They all look great, but as a major Spidey fan, that's the one I want the most.

At last years comic con I was told the green lantern would be 2013. They have very knowledgeable people Manning their booths.

Blah.. i had every intention of wanting to spend money on these.. even maybe at 100.. but looking at the first ebay listings for these... i can say goodbye to having these figures unless they release it in a set. There's absolutely no way i'm going to pay 200 to 300 just for a Shazam.
Such good look'n figures too!

Dig that bizarro superman. It seems so impractical to make just a limited run of any of these figures but I suppose Lego has their reasons.

Nothing at the SDCC is very practical lol.sadowsk1 wrote:Dig that bizarro superman. It seems so impractical to make just a limited run of any of these figures but I suppose Lego has their reasons.

I was really hoping that writing that would end in me eating my words. But I just saw the new superhero figure releases announced for 2013. Doesn't look like a Green Lantern set will be in our future.legohunter wrote:I heard that there will be another wave of DC Super hero for Superman. Sigh(for not seeing green lantern set yet).... other than keep waiting, I think the most we could do is to ask TLG putting him into a box set.Sinfanti wrote: I was really hoping that writing that would end in me eating my words. Re: LEGO Bizarro & Phoenix Minifigures SDCC 2012
The announcement of those minifigs doesn't necessarily mean there won't be anymore than those ones pictured. I wouldn't rule out a Green Lantern set just yet. I mean, they made Aquaman of all people! Apart from him, the other figs are based on TDKR and Arkham Asylum/City, and I have a hard time believing that Aquaman will headline the one non-Batman centric set. There's gotta be more than what has been shown thus far.Sinfanti wrote:I was really hoping that writing that would end in me eating my words. Re: LEGO Bizarro & Phoenix Minifigures SDCC 2012
I would love to get a Phoenix, but not for the prices it'll become, and I'd have to change the hair from the same as Widow, even though I haven't got her yet either
Re: LEGO Bizarro & Phoenix Minifigures SDCC 2012
The article on FBTB states
There was no source credited, so I chalk it up to hearsay until TLG announces otherwise - but it would appear it could easily be the case. There are 1,000 of each figure. And just to be extra clear on this point: these figures will NOT be available in any future set.
Re: LEGO Bizarro & Phoenix Minifigures SDCC 2012
I was at SDCC and I couldn't even get any of these. The way Lego handles these exclusive figures is just total BS and a kick in the nuts to their collectors. I mean how are we supposed to get things from Toyfair (when its not open to the public) or SDCC (where they raffle them out) when they don't make very many and make them near-impossible to get? Refusing to put these in future sets only rubs salt into the wound. Doesn't make me feel valued at all as a customer when they do things like this on purpose.
