Winners Clearing Out Old Lego Star Wars

As we all know, Winners (and Home Sense) are totally hit or miss when it comes to Lego. I was in the Heartland Winners last week and saw 4 Freeco Speeders and 3 Droid Tri-fighters. I missed out on the Tri-fighter the first time around and haven't seen it anywhere in 2012 until now! I didnt buy it, thinking I'd get it in a few days... I hit 3 other Winners in the West GTA and they had lots of Freeco Speeders and Palpatines Shuttles, but no Tri-fighters! Luckily Heartland had two left when I went back 4 days later, so I grabbed them both. They tend to slightly inflate their 'Compare at' prices, but not by much. The deals were still very good!

A better deal for the 8096 Emperor Palpatine's Shuttle would be at Sears right now. Goes for $47.99 since all toys are 40% off (reg. $79.99). Catch is, finding a Sears that still has a toy department. I couldn't find a Sears toy department at Fairview Mall or Scarborough Towne Centre, but there is one at Markville Mall and I did see set 8096 in stock last week.

the one Winners here is out of Lego last time I was there. Same thing at HomeSense. Only seen Bulk buckets and hero factory.
We have a new Winners opening here this week so may sheck it out.
Wouldn't mind a Droid Tri fighter.

That Freeco Speeder is terrible value IMO

The winners at Burlington Mall had 4 tri fighters, 1 shuttle, and about a half dozen of the blue 220 pc. boxes ($14).

Winners Westshore in Victoria BC had 4 (well 3 now hehe ) TriFighters, 2 FrecoSpeeders and 2 Shuttles, as of this afternoon

Although there aren't as many locations as Winners, Marshall's locations in and around the Greater Toronto Area seem to have similar stock, so don't overlook these stores.
