I haven't even gotten any Series 6 yet. These look kinda boring as a whole, with a whole bunch of rehashes. As usual, companies milk something cool to death until it starts to suck. I never liked these that much anyway due to the low quality Chinese plastic.

there's something interesting though - the bavarian is getting a white feather plume. that is quite rare indeed. guess BL price is going to fall for that piece now!!!

True...you have raised my hopes of super hero/villain CMF sets.

This is gonna be the "fall" of LEGO collectible minifigures series, and that's why the theme color of the package is "black". Kids may like this series, but not me. Looking at this set, I feel that TLG was running out of idea. Frankly, the characters are looking so boring and awkward to me.

I can't stand TLG reusing CMF1 robot head on this printed torso, which is not matching. Man-bat doesn't look good in black(he looks perfect in brown color). Cowgirl face expression is weird. What is a city boy with black vinyl disc doing in this series? Diver's helemt is cool but his outfit doesn't coordinate with the helmet. And more......

Some of the previous series were doing too good that makes this series going down.

A Superhero CMF series sounds great to me, I'd probably be after quite a few depending on who they included, and I could see it selling like absolutely crazy
I seriously doubt they would do this. Like dilbert12 mentioned, having a Super Heroes CMF series would hurt the sales of the Super Heroes theme. The minifigs are the main draw for this particular theme (maybe even more so than any other). No one would buy the sets if you could just get the minifigs alone. Even if they used B and C-list characters, LEGO could easily just throw them in sets and make more
money that way.

Don't get me wrong, because I absolutely LOVE the idea (they could throw in D-list characters and I'd be all over it!). I just doubt it would happen.

Apparently somebody has them all already  I'm amazed that these are already in production, hopefully they start popping up next month at the earliest.

Evil robot, DJ, skier gal and fairy are my favorites IMO. Alien queen looks too ugly but would pair well w/ the alien commander and alien cyborg from AC.

I was looking forward to seeing the fairy. She's not styled the way I had imagined, but I like the hard plastic wings.

The black manbat has rather long eyelashes...

The bowler hat makes me think of "The Son of Man." Green apples are easy to come by...Is there a minifig torso with a red tie? =)

That diver's helmet looks cheap. I think it's the same resin as the treasure chest.

Football player will be hot. But again, another football player without a football.

I'm digging Evil robot eventhough it's a remake. This will make Series 1 robot even more popular.

I'd definitely like an adjustment to their release schedule... Either 1) the current 16-figures-per-series dropped down to just twice a year, or 2) the same frequency of releases but with only 8-10 figures per series. From a purely consumer standpoint, I think that would make the series much easier to manage.

I get how people might dislike the rehashed robot's helmet, but the torso/head are amazingly detailed. And it's also nice to those of us who weren't into CMF when series 1 was out. I didn't get back into the Lego saddle until series 5 was out so my only way of getting S1 robot is to pay $15 on ebay. No thanks.

I really like the evil robots printing and red hand.

also the vampire bat is apparently a good guy..
In fact, the Vampire Bat actually loves being out in the daylight. Sunny days at the beach are his idea of perfection (though he does get a lot of sand in his fur and it’s not easy to see through the glare when your eyes are so well-adapted to the dark). Now that there are a bunch of human monster-fighters trying to foil his master’s plans, he’s secretly rooting for them to win!

^ Is that the official description? If so, I think it's pretty cool that they're 'officially' tying it in with an official theme. I think I might be pretty sweet if they started doing this with future CMF's, to supplement existing sets from various themes. Not that you couldn't do this yourself anyway, but having LEGO do this officially helps add some freshness to some themes.

Any idea when the Series 8's will show up in stores other than TRU?

Lego store by me has them. Picked a set and a few extra robots. Alittle disappointed with conquistador. They Didn't paint the back of his pants/skirt. The robot helmet is really dark.

I didn't see the box breakdown but here it is.

5 Evil Robots
5 Pirate Captains
5 DJs
4 Conquistadors
4 Santa(s)
4 Vampire Bats
4 Cheerleaders
4 Cowgirls
4 Football Players
3 Divers
3 Lederhosen Guys
3 Downhill Skiers
3 Businessmen
3 Fairies
3 Actors
3 Alien Villainesses

I really want a Bride of Frankenstein minifig, wish they would have done that instead of recylcling the bat guy
