The new LEGO Hobbit sets are now available for pre-order at Amazon US and Europe! Expected release date will be on December 1, 2012.

Strange that the Riddles for the Ring set is listed at $11.99. I bought it at Kmart for $9.99 (which I assume is the MSRP).

I too preordered Unexpected Gathering, though I thought it would be $59.99, not 69. I agree with Combee that $11.99 for Riddles is higher than Kmart or Fred Meyer. I'll have to assume Amazon will lower the price to match these before they come out and we'll get the low price guarantee. I hope anyways.

Amazon is very shady with their "MSRP". They've always had the smallest friends sets selling at $6.99, not $5.99. Same with venomari shrine, which they've always had at $7.99 or even $8.99 "MSRP", not $6.99.

I think the reason Amazon charges more for the smallest sets is so that they don't lose money shipping them to prime members (no minimum purchase for free shipping).

I doubt it. They have the "add on item" exclusion they use for that sort of thing.

Just got an email from amazon that they have shipped my Lego preorder for an unexpected gathering! Much earlier than they said.

*Update* I received my Unexpected Gathering set on November 24th from Amazon, nice!
