Funny, its exactly the opposite for me at TRU, tonight I grabbed two Mirkwood Guards (since the second one was 50% off) out of about 35 or so they had on the wall. They had only one Gandalf poly, but decided to pass on him, as he is in so many other sets now.
Other TRUs in the region (West Chicagoland) still don't have the Elf, just Gandalfs lol. Hopefully they come in stock during a buy1 get1 50% as I want to build an army. :D

Just talked to someone who works at TRU. They said they have Mirkwood Elf polys but they are being held until the 16th for release.

That would be the Monday after the weekend the movie is released so it kind of makes sense.

Stopped in at TRU today (christmas eve)...in oceanside Ca. I'm visiting family for christmas.

They had a sign on the Hobbit sets that said spend 20$ and get a free elf polybag. (All the hobbit sets were marked up as normal at TRU).

I asked the girl working in the lego isle if I could see one of the elf bags you get and was told they are at the customer service desk. I asked her if I could buy them individually and she said yes, you have to go talk to customer service. When I went up to customer service they said you have to spend 20 dollars on Hobbit lego to get one. I mentioned the girl in the lego section had told me I could buy them individually. Long story short..they called her on the intercom and talked to her and asked me how many I wanted before they said I could purchase them individually.

Since I only wanted 1 they sold me one for the normal 4.99 price. If I had wanted a bunch I'm sure I would have been denied.

So in the end I finally got 1. I was worried I was going to miss out and have to pay extra on ebay after being given the run around at TRU in my area in Oregon.

At least you found one... I drove to all 3 TRUs in the Austin area on Sunday and none of them had the polybag set. Very frustrating! Why even have an ad for it if you don't even have stock?

Available again online (limit 3)

http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.js ... d=17328336" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I ended up get another 1/2 dozen at my local store (can't seem to stop buying these). :)

Ouch on 5 bucks shipping for 3 mini's... Oh well, still beats Ebay prices and I don't have much hope of them coming back in stock locally.

I am tempted but the 5 bucks shipping makes it a no go for me. I did pick up one to build from TRU around Christmas. If I didn't already have one I'd probably have to buy 3...

Hehe I actually only wanted 2 more (I also got one in store). But the difference in shipping was like 6 cents between 2 or 3. The deal seeker in me hated to spend that much for shipping, but all I needed to do was look at some BUY IT NOW on ebay, or check the prices on Amazon, and I am ok with it.

I ordered 3 Mirkwood elves and they sent me 3 Mining quads... I hated Toysrus before but now I'm never ordering from them again!

That sucks! Hope they fix it for you with as little frustration as possible.

My 3 got here yesterday, I was actually surprised at the speed of shipping/delivery.
