30212 Mirkwood Elf Guard & 30213 Gandalf Polybags Spotted!

Just went to my local Toys "R" Us and pointed out the fact that the Gandolf one wasn't BOGO and they adjusted it at the the register. When it rings up the first words are something like action figure then Lego it's worded Wrong if Lego was first the BOGO would catch it hope this helps

Toys R Us in Natick Mass has the Mirkwood elf. I saw at least 30 of them.

Yes ... although I have been screwed twice today by stores that say they have them on the floor and then I get there and they don't. One of the sales ladies told me they weren't supposed to be on the floor until the release of the movie. I didn't feel like arguing so I just left in dismay.

Was on vacation and found Gandalf in Orlando fir $3.99 and was easily able to talk cashier into honoring bogo on them. Got 4 and used $5 tru bucks and a $10 gc from a purchase a few days ago.

Driving back home, stopped at the tru in gainesville off I 75 and found elves! Got a few of them and my wife found an imperial shuttle beat up and seemingly opened but maybe just crushed for 50% off. Checked out a bag at the register and saw minifig heads which is a good sign. Cashier also said i could return it if all the bags weren't there...even offered to take off 5-10% for my concern. (In the course of the transaction we kind of overlooked that, but i didn't mind).

They also had some hobbit sets, so i figured might as well get a new set with bogo on the shuttle, so snagged a worg set for $30(40% off!) Since total was already high especially after a Disney trip! =) Just made an amazing trip even better.

Oh, and of course we had to check out Legoland again =) New stuff added, and is even more amazing. Star wars area is sick.

I had the exact same problem ... I have been to 5 TRU in my area and all have the gandalf bags but no elves. I have also called and they said they had them but when i arrived nothing.

A Lego rep at my tru said the elves were being held fro a promotion starting the 16th...makes sense since hobbit comes out the 14th. Also makes sense why some people are finding them and others aren't.

I just got a new TRU ad book good from 12/2 to 12/8 and inside the Gandalf polybag is being offered free "with ANY LEGO board game purchase of $25.00 or more"

And there is no show or mention of the ELF polybag in it.

I hope we get them both here in South.

MY local TRU had both bags but neither was on the floor. They were both behind the service desk. They said they were for some promotion but they sold me both with no problems.

Will the elf poly bags be a limited time thing? I'm waiting for a good sale to pick up a bunch of them, but don't want to miss out.

Also my local tru's still don't have them in stock, wth!!!!
