My experience with Canadian TRU and polybags is that they introduce it as a promo. Then they seem to disappear, than a month later there will be piles of them for sale.

Currently my Toys R Us has tonnes of Ghost Clock polybags.

Awesome! I'm gonna get my sister to check out TRU for the uruk-hai polybags. Hopefully they're available cheaper than the $5 per at legoland, looking to build an army. :)

It was polo park. I can't imagine somebody bought them all. I remember seeing them in the middle of an isle in the white wire display bins on the outside in a bin closer to the ground. One near the entrance and another closer to the Lego section. TRU is so random with their Polybag placements.

I Picked up two of the Geonosian Starfighters. That's pretty much the only NON-new set I don't have yet. The original MSRP is rediculous. Even at 30% off, the price per brick is high! What was with these two Geonosian sets that made their price so high? It's not like Boba Fett is in the set or anything!

Uruk Hai Polybags were available today at Toys R Us. I was able to buy 25 outright for $4.99 at the Winnipeg Polo Park store. A little pricey, but when LOTR goes on sale again for 20% off I'll get $1 back for each one. I have my army!

I was able to purchase a few Uruk Hai's outright today as well. Amd because I'm awesome, I was also able to score the Elrond poly for free!

I was able to buy an Uruk-hai at the register at the Regent Ave TRU yesterday. I only bought one as a I ordered another one of Bricklink last week :( Ah well, I have one to trade. On another note, I noticed they are advertising the Elrond exclusive figure at the Regent TRU as well on a display stand by the video game department. Get the figure when you buy the LOTR video game. I asked a few employees but they said the game is sold out. I tried to find out more abut the figure but they seemed pretty tight-lipped and I didn't want to push my luck. Ah well!

You're totally right! When I was at TRU in Calgary AB yesterday to get me some Uruk-Hai, they had a TON of the Thor polybags...which were just introduced for the first time in Canada during Bricktober. (And some of the Zombie Chauffeur polys as well, none of the ghost clocks though)

I had never noticed that trend at TRU before but I'll definitely pay attention to that from now on! =P

He came back with some Elronds instead! He tried to scan them, but they don't have a proper barcode. I then told him that the poly I asked for was different, so he went back to customer service. He came back and they were indeed the Uruk Hai polys. As he was ringing them up for me, I just asked him if it was possible if I could just have an Elrond poly for free, and he said "Sure!", and proceeded to put it in my bag!

I manage to buy 2 Uruk Hai Polys today. Found them mixed in along with the rest of the other polys.

BTW, they also have the MTT poly. Tons of it too.
