Sorry. :) Portland, OR.abeverage wrote:Where is here?ritzcrackerman wrote:No luck so far here. :/ I have usually been on the frontlines at local Freddie's stores. I think that the re-sellers may have already snapped them all up.

So, topically related - during my search yesterday, I chatted it up with the stock clerk for the toy department, who was eyeballing me suspiciously. I reassured him I was going to pay for every single one, and had to practically turn out my pockets. He told me about all the LEGO thefts they have to deal with - boxes torn into, minifigures stolen, and of course, the collectible minifigures being the biggest target. I know it goes without saying, but please PLEASE be good customers out there and let everyone enjoy this hobby! It was very discouraging to hear how much exposure and risk they get by putting toys out that are targets of re-sellers or simply unscrupulous customers.
On a related note - he did relate a few stories where I guess earlier yesterday, a female customer came in and demanded that they bring her 4 boxes of minifigures from the back, when his boss had already indicated they should only put one out at a time. She apparently threw a fit, and they gave in. I've worked customer service before, and I truly grew to dread this kind of stuff.

That does seem like this lady would be very unfortunate to deal with.
I know for my part I don't even bother the employees to check, I just look at the shelf.
The one box at a time thing does seem a bit suspect though as I've never seen just a single box of CMF at any of the Fred Meyer's I've found them at. Any where from 2-10 but never just one.

that guy from Portland already has another one up. He must have went on a FRENZY lol. I refrained from hitting up more than one location but I admit the idea was tempting.Gooker1 wrote:Um...no way i'm paying for one on eBay if they run this much:

In his current auction, he states it's a re-listing of the previous auction. Looking at the zoomed picture, it looks as if the print quality on the head of his Mr. Gold leaves a little to be desired. If TLG had consistent problems with printing on the gold finish, I won't feel like I missed out. Does anybody have a gold C-3PO with similar issues?peanut wrote:that guy from Portland already has another one up. He must have went on a FRENZY lol. I also wonder if the clear plastic baggie the figure is in on his auction picture is how the figure was originally packaged. A second bag might make it a little trickier to feel for things.

I think this was specific to this store. He confessed as much that they had more in the back, but would not be bringing any more out until the box was close being exhausted.FenrisAkashi wrote:The one box at a time thing does seem a bit suspect though as I've never seen just a single box of CMF at any of the Fred Meyer's I've found them at.
