Came out to about 89$ CAD including shipping. Smoking deal for Canada. I picked one up and will post what/if any border charges show up upon delivery.

A lot of very very good deals on Amazon uk site. Ended up spending more than I expected LOL!
Re: 39% off LEGO City Passenger Train: Now £62.99 ( ~$93 USD
Maybe I am mistaken but when I bought these few weeks ago, they came to 44.43 pound each only, which would mean about 51-52 pound with VAT. I am just going by what my Amazon order says, so potentially it can go lower than the current price.

Agreed, I missed it when it was at 52 pounds, guess we need to wait a little and surely it will hit that price point once more.

Anyone know how long U.S.-bound orders from Amazon.uk usually take to get underway? Mine's been sitting at "we need some more time to provide you with a delivery estimate" since the weekend.

^They are usually pretty quick. Most of my orders even typically arrive within a week.
The 7938 has been at around US $75 rather frequently in the past. It's anybody's guess whether it will drop that low again.

well just to report my last order from amazon uk, arrived last week and got dinged by canada post for $23. no ups, but pretty upset with it adding up the total cost.
Re: 39% off LEGO City Passenger Train: Now £62.99 ( ~$93 USD
Huh, interesting. As a first-time customer, I'm not impressed with the UK site so far.brickarmor wrote:^They are usually pretty quick. Most of my orders even typically arrive within a week.
Initially they weren't updating my order status for several days and I had to contact them three times before they basically said "Oh gee, sorry, we need to check and make sure we even have one in stock." I got the impression they weren't going to bother doing so until I asked. I finally got a notification that it's being packaged up tonight, and the target delivery deadline is almost three weeks from now. Oh well, at least it's a good deal.

Seems like no more international shipping for LEGO from Amazon UK to Canada/USA if you try and place an order.
Re: 39% off LEGO City Passenger Train: Now £62.99 ( ~$93 USD
That's terrible news, almost frustrating. Bet it's due to all the domestic retailers who stand to lose from people buying overseas at reasonable prices - must protect the Canadian inflated prices after all.

Got my shipment, box appears in great shape. Cost $19.42CAD for import charges. Took less than a week to arrive. Not bad at all!

LEGO, it's not just a toy, it's an addiction... ;)
Re: 39% off LEGO City Passenger Train: Now £62.99 ( ~$93 USD
Slightly off topic of the sale, but curious about this set- Is this still the cheapest/best option to motorize other trains (I want to motorize the Constitution). And if so, how often are there deals on it?
Re: 39% off LEGO City Passenger Train: Now £62.99 ( ~$93 USD
It's currently the cheapest motorized set available (or could go just for the individual pieces at S@H, if I'm not interested in this set).The-Daryl wrote:Slightly off topic of the sale, but curious about this set- Is this still the cheapest/best option to motorize other trains (I want to motorize the Constitution).
