Thanks for the heads up. I picked it up despite my poor experience with Sears shipping. Willing to roll the dice at this price point cause it's just such an intricate set. Hopefully the box won't be crushed beyond hope...

Probably clearing them out since the new ones are slowly coming in.. the dragon looks neat but falls apart when children play with them...

True that. Right now the set is doing pretty bad on both playability and after market value. But it is a solid investment down the road, given the pass dragon sets have all seen gains in value, and if the upcomming show keep being a hit, then we sure will see some profit in a year or two on this set when it retire.

Caveat Emptor re: Sears Shipping.

Last set I bought they slapped a mail tag on the LEGO box and shipped it like that. Needless to say, resale value = much lower.

If you plan to open the set, then I guess it's OK. But heaven forbid the LEGO box seals should open in transit....

its all about timing, and supply/demand. Last year, no one would be saying these things about the set. Sold a few of these for $200 approaching christmas last year since they were hot and out of stock in all retail locations. I think if ninjago sets don't do well this christmas with no stock shortages, that's the end of the hey day for ninjago and their resale value. of course I am hoping it does well since I got a couple to get rid off!

its likely the sets from sears will not have the greatest box condition for resale too. Major shelfware and creases/dings are likely. If they don't already have them, they may during shipping!

yeah still amuses me that there is 2014 ninjago, thought chima already replaced it for good.
