Superstore 1/2 price Lego

Post by nami » Sat Mar 08, 2014 10:49 am

Superstore is renovating their leisure area and has various Lego sets for half price. I imagine there just making room for the new sets but an employee said it was because of the renovation. There were tons of other toys as well for 1/2 price. This is not just one particular location, but every store, at least in Winnipeg. Here are some examples of what I came across last night.

Star Wars:
Desert Skiff $14.94
Geonosian Cannon $12.44
Arc Trooper Battle Packs $7.94
Endor Battle Packs $7.94
At-Rt $12.44
Droid Escape $12.44

I also saw various older creator, city, and friends sets half price as well. Selection of course varies from store to store but there was a lot of product still last night. Happy Shopping!

Wow. Nice prices. I find the Superstore clearance sales are usually done at a store level. One of my local stores has had about 40 Endor battle packs for over a year and I keep waiting for the store manager to realize they need to be put on sale to get rid of them :-)

That said, all the Superstores around me tend to charge more than TRU for Lego, which deflates the benefit of sale prices too.

I snagged a grocery cart full of stuff at my Ontario store... may get cold feet and end up returning some, but couldn't resist at these prices. Bought a lot of it on Thursday which also allowed me to get the $25 gift card for spending over $250.

I'm in the same boat. I did my purchase Thursday night and received the gift card as well. I've also thought about returning some stuff as well, but staying above the $250 to keep the gift card. I had come across some more skiffs last night as well as a pile of LOR Wizard Battles for $7.94. Grabbed some of these as well as a few extra endor battle packs for my sons army. With the gift card on Thursday it brings the price closer to 60% off, and at these prices you can't go wrong.

I was at the Surrey 104th Superstore and the two Coquitlam Superstores, and all three had sets at 50% off. The Surrey one had the most sets remaining; SW Endor and Arc battle packs, SW Geonosian Cannon, Some Chima, Creators and City.

Eating my words from above now. My wife was at the Superstore and noticed stuff on sale for 50% off, and they had dropped original prices back to the normal levels. She grabbed a bunch of the Endor battle packs for the prices noted above (but not all ... we leave some for others as these are just for our kids to play with - I help of course! - and to give to the kids friends as b-day gifts).

I stopped at another store and picked up a couple Chima sets for 50% off too. They also had some small Creator sets, a small fire patrol car and some other Chima sets (didn't get those). Wish they had more Star Wars like the Skiffs ... son really wanted that one.

Picked up 2 Endor Battle Packs.

Saw a lot of the 60016 City Tanker Truck for $12.44, didn't get one but might pick up one next time I go.

Same 50% Lego at the Thunder Bay Superstore. Picked up a Cement Mixer and 4x4 Dive Boat at $12.44 each. Also saw the Octan truck, Geonosian Cannon, lots of Chima, Police Pursuit, Fire Car, Wizard Battle. All half off.

The Superstore in Newmarket has a LOT of the Friends small set on for $6.44. They have Stephanie's Soccer practice, Mia's Magic Tricks and Emma's Karate Class. Lots and lots of each. They had a sign up saying that Andrea's bedroom was also $6.44, but I couldn't find any. They have some of the Eagle Creator sets at that price, and bunch of Duplo on sale too.
