So, here's a question for you all...
How big is the in-store deals vs the Shop at Home deals? Is it worth going to the store if I live 2.5 hours drive away? What are your past experiences like and are there any new sets being released on the day? Any inside information?!!?
:) Happy Building!

typically, may 4th deals are the same in-store and on-line. If you can meet the free shipping threshold, and items are in stock on-line, there isn't much reason to go to the store.

Ah ok.. I was once told by the staff at the store in Calgary that they sometimes vary and there are sometimes give-aways in the store that aren't offered online.
I wish I knew what was going to be on sale. What do you think about the chances of the SS Destroyer and Death Star going on sale? I'm still wondering if I should get those or maybe the market is already saturated....

The in-store deals wouldn't be worth driving so far. I wouldn't expect the SSD or Death Star to be on sale, or if they are it won't be for more than 5-10% off. There will be some other Star Wars sets up to 20% off, and I can see R2-D2 being this year's 50% off clearance item.
Stay at home and do your shopping when the deals go live.

Anybody know if Toy R US Canada will have that free x-wing/tie fighter build promotion for May 3 like they have in the US?

Call or check your local store, they should have a posting if they do.

9496 Desert Skiff sold out, too. I think the Skiff is the best deal among all the lame deals. I am glad I didn't have a high hope on this sale, in which these deals were not upset me.

First time posting, first time buying lego online, I wasn't sure what I was expecting, Was deciding if i should order 2 of each 9525 Pre Vizsla's Mandalorian™ Fighter and 9496 Desert Skiff and then realized that 9496 Desert Skiff disappeared from my cart :(
Those skiff went fast!
Anyone wanna let go one Desert Skiff? If you ordered multiples?

Disappeared from my cart too, but the skiff set is too small to bother getting off someone even with no markup unless it was someone local. By the time you paid shipping, you could pretty much just buy it full price in any store. If you have one nearby, try your local Toys R Us or Mastermind Toys @20% off.

They also had none of the three 50% sets to begin with. The staff was perplexed.

I missed the Desert Skiff also. I had it in my cart and was searching to see if there were any items discounted from other themes and not showing up in "sales and deals". Minutes later the Desert Skiff was sold out. That was at 12:20am. Crazy. I agree with others.. the sale was lame. Only 3 were actually discounted to a decent price and even they were old set and sold far to quickly.

I placed an order of $79 and didn't get the Revan figure.
I emailed customer service and received a reply in regards to Revan not appearing in my "Thank you for your order email"
According to LEGOshop@home $75 of your purchase must be Star Wars related items to qualify for the Revan minifigure. I'm bummed but not horribly upset bc they were items that I had planned to purchase in the near future anyway.
Just wanted to be sure that others don't make the same mistake of ordering non-star wars items while expecting to receive Darth Revan.

Was the clone lt. the same way? Because I remember only ordering $65 worth of SW stuff for that one.
