Re: Buying from Ebay
I see this is an older post but wanted to chime in. I have sold some of my son's old sets on ebay and hate the rap that everyone gets because of bad transactions. I mainly sold off his duplo he never played with and they were complete and in original boxes, etc. You must beware but don't always be afraid.
I have also had a bad transaction but many more positive ones and I don't talk about the positive ones, just the bad one. The bad one was missing a few pieces (old shuttle and launch pad) and of course said complete. It also had some pretty messed up pieces. I have no idea how lego pieces get so banged up. Overall, it wasn't the end of the world, but not what I expected when I paid top dollar for it.
I tend to only sell new in box here and there now, but I know it won't be long when I am selling off some of my son's used ones again.

Re: Buying from Ebay
new information,
I have learned that ebay and bricklink may not be 100% guarantee that you will receive or not happy with but. For Amazon.com secured and safe because once you order through amazon then Amazon hold the funds until the seller ship the item. Once they ship the item with the recommend tracking number. Then will received funds to the seller.
That why, I trust only website with amazon but I do checking with bricklink.com. Effective last October 28, 2010, I stop with ebay.com and I do not trust them.
