The two Whitecap Bays are still there, too, for $54 - hopefully when further markdowns come along the staff will notice them tucked away in between some QARs...

I saw a Space Police 5974 Galactic Enforcer at walmart last night. It wasn't on clearance, but was with clearance stuff. The box was very worn, my guess someone found in back of stock room. I would have bought it, if it wasnt $99

^ Hehe, that's exactly the same as my WM in southern Pennsylvania... They've had one very beat-up Enforcer sitting on the shelves on "clearance" at $99 for almost two years now.

I thought I saw a Helms Deep for either $80 or $90 at the Newton, NJ Walmart. I was with other people so I didn't get a chance to price check it, but they also had other sets like Avengers Quinjet and Dino series marked down.

Watch out - I picked up a Helm's Deep in Bayonne, NJ and was suspicious of such a new item being on clearance. So I carefully opened the box in the parking lot and holy crap, what was in this box. Tore up instrictions for Orc Forge, 4 or 5 bags sealed with tape. I think one of the bags was from Orc Forge! No minifigures. I returned this less than five minutes after I brought it! Now I did make it clear I was returning this because it was missing parts so I doubt it made it to Newton, LOL, but be careful nonetheless.

And that marked the third time I purchased something from Walmart that was missing pieces.

Checked my local Walmarts after work in Billings Montana and yeahhhh buddy, they have just about all their LEGOs on clearance at around 30% off. I just couldn't wait any longer so I picked up 2 Black Pearls for $69(one for a co-worker) and the Millennium Falcon for $99. I originally bought the Podracers at $65(which they still have a ton of) but returned it after I saw just 1 out of the 3 Walmarts had the Falcon on clearance and in stock which the same store also had Queen Anne's Revenge at $79 that I reluctantly have to pass on(I only deliver pizzas for a living, lol). They also had Mines of Moria at $54 and Helm's Deep at $89. I'm trying to stick to only Star Wars here while making an exception for the Black Pearl as a LEGO fan, lol. I'm so happy that I finally have the Pearl and Falcon!

Morris, IL location has all Friends sets on clearance. 3061 $21, 3188 $30, 3942 + 3065 $13, 3315 $49, and 3187 $17. Also had little sets for $7 and convertible for $11.

May be a shelf space issue. I picked up Helms Deep on clearance here in AZ from a local retailer for $89 recently. The next week there was a new set in its place...Mines of Moria!

Neither Wal-Mart here has the Avengers or even LotR sets yet, so odd... Couldn't resist picking up the Friends house for $49 though.

Saw most of these deals today including the Superhero sets, the Friends sets, and LotR Helms Deep. Also saw the bigger dino sets for 30% and many of the older wave city sets (Space Center, Moon Buggy, Harbor, Marina, etc...)

I picked up a LoTR Helms Deep for $89 and a SW Republic Frigate for $79 today in Cedar Rapids, IA. They had several other sets marked down. The Podracers, several City sets and a couple of the Dino sets. They weren't marked Clearance, just discounted for some reason. Wish they would've marked down the Millenium Falcon!

This sale was particularly nice since those two sets were at the top of my son's Christmas wish list!

Picked up general grievous starfighter for $35 today at my Walmart. Thanks for the tip!

Hit a few Walmarts today and found the same thing at all of them. Around 30% off some of the Star Wars, POTC, Cars, Hero Factory, Creator & City sets (I think there were some Duplo & Friends sets as well) mentioned earlier in this thread or that have been on clearance at Target recently. Did not find any of the LotR, Ninjago or Dino sets that some have been mentioning though. These were all in the south Denver/Aurora area.
I do not remember which exact ones were at specific stores, but they all seemed to have virtually the same selection & prices, so check your local store if there is a set you are looking for and a 30% discount is the right price for you. These markdowns seem pretty consistent in this area. All were red tagged and mixed in with the regular priced sets in the main Lego aisles.

I was in the toy aisles and noticed a person putting in red shelf tags. I scanned a Lego friends set and it came up MSRP, and then asked the woman if the set was going to be marked down. Se scanned it with her gun and it turned out to be 30% off. She walked over to the rest of the Friends sets and started scanning them and they all turned out to be reduced by 30%, so she printed out a bunch of new tags! After she scanned them, tags printed out and they scanned for the sale price at the register.

I scored almost all the first wave Friends sets for my daughter. Just missing the big house. Looked at the convertible, but it didn't look worth it even at 30% off.

The woman said she had to mark down 3000 items starting yesterday and she was down to the last 200.

So, stopped by a local WM (warwick RI) to see if things were as reported. Friends sets were marked down on the shelves. Shocked. They had most of the sets except for polys (of course), tree house, and Big house.

Another in North Kingstown has 10-12 small Hogwarts down at 35.
