Drove to Vegas this past weekend and this is what I ran into. Victorville Wal-Mart has all the POTC sets at 30% except for the Black Pearl. All HP sets are 30% off too. Only thing SW was the t-16 shuttle at $50.

The Wal Mart near Barstow and the one in Vegas near the Airport that has a Sam's club next to it - the usual SW stuff was on clearance as well. Sith Infiltrator, Pod Race, and V-Wing at 30% off

I find Walmarts current pricing method confusing and inconsistent so it's hard to say what will stay and what will go come the holidays.
Knowing your competition is key! I live in the Chicago suburbs..the Walmart near me had nearly the whole Lego aisle 30% off last week and I grabbed a few sets- went back 5 days later and ALL of the discounted sets were gone. The rest of the walmarts in my area..same story. Target clearance..same story. Seems like 30% is the max discount I can expect around here- it hits that point and its a feeding frenzy in an affluent area like this. 50%? Never seen it 'round here.

Ugh. So true. Unfortunately the competition around here (SF South Peninsula) is terrible. Our local Walmart and Target (Mt View) take forever to put stuff on clearance, and then it's cleaned out in no time while stuff is only 15-30% off. Very rarely do we ever see 50% off. But then once I stopped at a Walmart in Seaside on our way back from Monterey, and they had tons of stuff at 50% off. Guess there are very few AFOLs and resellers down there. Here's hoping the after-Xmas sales are good.

I don't know how anyone could make any money buying at 30% off (plus our steep sales tax), and then selling on eBay. And a lot of those sets are 25-30% off on Amazon already. Maybe they're parting out and selling on BrickLink, but even that probably isn't worth it once you factor in your time. I'd rather spend my time building!

I suppose I shouldn't complain too much since I live within reasonable driving distance of three LEGO stores, so I hit the PAB wall fairly often :-D

Hit up the other WalMart in Pearland, TX today on Main and it made a lot more sense. For being in an arguably worse part of town, it's always a lot more organized than the one over by 288. They tend to have normal items in stock a lot more often and is a lot less of a zoo. However, there aren't the crazy deals to take advantage of:

Helm's Deep- in stock but not on sale. Millenium Falcon, same.

They had some smaller Alien Conquest and Cars on clearance at 30% and one Lighthouse that I almost pulled the trigger on but didn't. But that was it. Everything else was as it should be.

They are completely shuffling the toy section at my closest Walmart now. None of the 30% items were there in the new LEGO isle. Had a few of the new sets in(No Jabba's Palace or Skiff). I looked everywhere for the Frigate, Podracers, & Pearl(which they had plenty of a day ago) in the clearance sections and new isles but nothing(found the LEGO watches still at $11 clearance in a different section).

A worker that knows me said some are in the back waiting to be put out again but they have so much on clearance right now she doesn't know when. They still have a lot of work to do as well. The site still says they are in stock at my store so I'm still holding out hope at 50% but idk. I got the ones I wanted anyway which was the Falcon and Pearl at 30% off so it's no biggie if I missed out on the other sets. I've spent enough money anyway, lol.

So just a heads up if you want that one particular set, might wanna bite at 30% just to be safe and then keep your receipt if 50% does happen for you.

Reporting in on the Walmart in Tewksbury, MA: Queen Anne's Revenge for $79, Black Pearl for $69. Some scattered PotC and Alien sets also discounted 30%. Plenty of Star Wars on the shelves, but no discounts except for the T-6 shuttle at $49. North Reading, MA Walmart only had the Black Pearl at $69.

Walmart in Houston has a good number of sets for 30% off. Cars oil rig, PTOC ship, Alien Helicopter and mothership, pod racer and more...in the clearence section. I think I'll wait until they hit 50% though.

Hunh. A friend of mine told me Tewksbury had nothing. Unless she looked in the wrong store.

On vacation and noticed the Walmart in Hazleton, PA has the entire line of Friends 25-30% off, which I found surprising given how hot it's been elsewhere. Tempted to pick up another Olivia's House for $50...

For those finding the friends sets, are they marked, or do you need to scan?
I picked up a few City sets that were red clearanced. All Star Wars sets that had the red tags were empty - except for open boxes...
Thanks.

Most of mine were marked, but there was a couple that rang lower or not marked but in clearance section.
Good luck!

Found mine on endcaps after a store shuffle, not in a designated clearance section. Haphazardly places with other pink boxes of Barbie, etc...

Thanks! Searched around and found some of the smaller sets on an endcap. Love them for the colors and accessories. The good thing about these are you don't have to worry about people stealing for minifigs. I picked upa millennium to scan and the box fell apart on both ends!

Roanoke, TX Walmart did a massive re-shuffle on their toy isles in the last 2 days. LOTS of empty room on the lego shelves, ready for the next wave to be loaded. Older stuff was moved to a newly established clearance section. Only things I saw in there where the same things that were on the shelves discounted already. PTOC London escape for $35, T-6 for $45. Will keep an eye and see what else shows up, but other Walmart might be doing the same...

Not a single set on clearance at the walmart closest to me. They had a couple of Falcons that rang up at full price.

First time posting... Love the site.

I found two SW Frigates for $15.00 at a WM in Dallas with a little help from the WM app. First time it's worked accurately for me.

I really dont get the disparity in prices between Wal-Marts. I've got two in my town and their prices are totally different at each store regarding Lego clearance. Both stores have the same sets, but completely different sets are clearanced depending on where you shop.
