Hola! Texan here....
Hello all, Just thought I should introduce myself (although I have already posted a few times)....
My name is Brandon, and I'm in the Dallas area. I got started with classic Space in 1978 and have always had some room in my life for LEGO. Even into adulthood, I usually got a few sets for Christmas and would occasionally build something and play with it for a while, but I didn't keep up with everything in the LEGO world. But this past Christmas, something changed. My sister got me the Shuttle Adventure, and building that thing pulled my hard and fast out of my (relatively) dark ages. Since then, I've been scouring the web for new information, techniques, and inspiration and scouring the stores for sets! I'm getting back into MOCing and in fact am finishing up a mini modular for the contest here.
This site has quickly become my number one favorite community for LEGO news and information, and I look forward to getting to know many of you here!
See you soon!

Thank you! I must say, that was awesome!
My Fair Lady didn't really play with LEGO much growing up, and when I started seriously getting back into it several months ago, I convinced her to build a few sets with me. Now she's an AFOL too and is over the moon with the Friends sets! Needless to say, she was pretty excited about the win too. I have gotten her a few other sets as well, Creator, Technic, and some City sets. Now she's really getting into the City stuff too, she has a keen eye on the Marina. I'm thinking that might be her next "surprise". It sure is cool to have an SO into LEGO as well. A wedding is under discussion now, and we decided a few days ago that each table at the reception will have a small LEGO set and a PAB cup or grab bag with instructions to have fun and create a custom centerpiece for us. And our cake topper will be LEGO bride and groom minifigs with heads that resemble our own!
Wow.... Lil tangent there... Sorry about that!

Heelllllloooooo from Cali! Love that wedding idea! When my wife and I got married we had Leia and Han Solo actionfigures as our wedding cake toppers! Woulda been minifigs but I was still in my Dark Age then!
