Minifigure Vintage Collection 5? Same as the ones from past year I believe. I guess that is strike one, let see what kind of sales they have, and let us all hope they are not strike outs.

*Update, so they are not the old ones from past year, but the sales are very weak, 20% off Chima, Ninjago and Technic. I will pass. Yet, to be fair, there are a few exclusive for those people whom are into these themes,

Technic - 4X4 Crawler (9398)
Technic - Logging Truck (9397)
Technic - Unimog U400 (8110)
Legends of Chima - Eagles' Castle (70011)
Ninjago - Fangpyre Wrecking Ball (9457)

The flyer is up on their website. Looks like the Minifigure Collection is different than last year's.

Not even any clearance this year - but it's TRU after all.

It begins. It should be corrected in the opening post that this is not a Vintage Minifigure Collection, just a Minifigure Collection. Nowhere is the word "vintage" used in the flyer; the minifigs are all clearly recent ones. It also says that it's collection 1/3, so what will the free bonuses be for weeks 4 and 5?

Wow, what a terrible opening round for Bricktober. Let's hope things pick up over the next few weeks. On the bright side, my wallet will be much happier if the terrible deals continue.

FBTB has pictures of all three sets. They do not get better. There are more of the same, just boring fireman, cook, office guy... bleu

Agreed. Unless later weeks have some Wow deals(30% or over discount). The minifigs are lackluster copies that anyone whos bought city sets would have tons of.

I wonder if these are all made in China with inferior plastic like the old minifigure sets were? If so, they're probably not worth trying to get unless people plan to resell them or something.

They are most likely made in China - they will still get $20-$30 later on - so it might be worth getting them now rather than later - cause with shipping it's still gonna cost $35-$50 later on.

True but you could probably get all those minifigs individually off bricklink for $12 inc. shipping and they'd be the better plastic.

^ Yes - totally correct. I'd definitely advocate for that way. Just when you want them all boxed up - but there really isn't any collector value.
