If I had not bought the Haunted House for triple points before black Friday, I would jump on this deal. I am not sure there is going to be a better deal.

SImple rule is, if the old stock or end of line sets do not move at MSRP, they will have to be discounted. Then if stock level is still high after a week to a month, it will be lowered again till it is cleared. Why sell something at a lower price when people are buying them at the price they are at? Business 101 really.

This whole "no discounts on hard to find" sets is really starting to * me off. TBH its why I haven't made any large set purchases this year.

Same here. A lot of folks are resentful. I spoke with one of the guys at the Lego store and he said people need to call and express their opinions directly to Lego. I for one, have not wasted my time, Lego is just getting unnecessarily greedy. The next wave of sets (for pretty much all of the themes) are just plain bad in my opinion, it's money I would have put into completing our modular collection, if they would allow discounts, but due to the current state of affairs it's money that will end up staying in my wallet. Sorry Lego.

Is this deal over as I am not seeing the gift card bonus listed with these sets?

The gift card deal seems to be over. When it was working, it automatically placed the gift card in your online shopping cart as an additional item at zero cost.
